Construction of Bridge over Bells Creek

Contract Period: March 2014 - August 2014

Details: 3 span, 1 lane 2-way bridge with dual pedestrian/cycleway access. Foundations consist of deep bored cast in situ 900dia piles. Substructure components are comprised of column/headstock pier configurations and spill through abutments. The cast in situ deck is constructed upon hit-and-miss precast prestressed concrete beams, barriers are custom cast in situ f-type concrete regular protection barriers with S/S handrails. Significant public services were run through superstructure components and provisions for further running of services have been allowed for in superstore conduit cavities.
